I know EXACTLY how you feel. Since I first actually started taking notice of the Miata it's always been the NA that's my fav (pop-up headlights) but you can get a fresher NB for the price of an NA. I'm so confused which to reach for now. I've always toyed with the idea of putting a body conversion kit on whichever one I get just to be a little different than the norm.
Unfortunately I can't figure out how to enlarge these other pics but they're taken from this awesome site . They have kits for both for the NA and NB

I saw that Pitcrew one at JCCS. Absolutely stunning, but the paint scheme couldn't fit it less.

The NB will likely be my favorite Miata. FD3S-inspired styling (versus the FC3s-inspired styling of the NA), but still a relatively cheap, light-weight sports car without too many gizmos, gadgets, or other technological advances reducing reliability and standing in the way between you and the car. I miss mine, but I was able to buy my former Porsche 986 for what I sold it for, plus what it would have cost to replace the top and perform the 100k service. So while I miss mine, I don't regret selling it.
